I don't think that there is an AntiVirus that could be called the "best" AntiVirus, each product got it's ups and downs, but from my personal experience??? the best one I used so far is the one called Rising AntiVirus" it provides the best protection, best performance for the computer/laptop you would be using, and the best thing about it for non professional people??? it got the easiest interface I ever saw.

Some people would recommend "Kasper Antivirus" but I say it's 110% BAD, it makes your pc/laptop goes slower then a dead baby turtle!!! even when you're not running a scan, just on the stand by mood of it!!!!! and worse then that, it causes the processor to be highly used 90% of the time your pc is on, which is not healthy for the pc on the long term usage,
and it will probably complain about every single unregistered software or file you got "that's what happened with me and most of my friends anyway"

So Rising AntiVirus would be the one I recommend to you.

Hope your pc goes well, I HATE viruses and crappy "people" who make it!!!

Kapersky is good but personally I prefer "Avast"
the home edition is free

Norton and Symantec make shoddy bloated software.
